UHS Sophomore Marco Miranda was a big winner in the 2023 Iowa State Radon Video Contest. Not only did his video win first place in the statewide contest, but he also won the Most Views contest, resulting in prize winnings of $800. View Marco’s video below.

The Iowa Radon Video Contest is held to raise awareness and spread the message about radon’s health hazards. The American Lung Association along with the Iowa Department of Public Health, in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 7, and the Iowa Radon Coalition host this annual statewide contest.
