UCSD PTOs (Parent Teacher Organizations) are such an important part of our schools. They provide fun activities and events throughout the school year which in turn support students and schools. This past school year, Olmsted PTO held many fundraisers, activities, and events; here are a few highlights:

• Olmsted PTO supplied over 5,600 bags of popcorn to Olmsted students this past school year through their inclusive monthly fundraiser called Popcorn Day at Olmsted. PTO volunteers bagged up over 700 bags one Friday a month and asked for a good will donation of $0.50/bag from families. But, every person in the school received a bag of popcorn no matter what. Olmsted PTO is so proud to provide inclusive activities to our Urbandale students and families. 

• Olmsted PTO also provided Track & Field Day shirts for all students, grades K-5. Each grade had over 100 students and had a special color to signify their grade. Olmsted PTO purchased over 640 shirts for students to wear during the 2023 Track & Field Day hosted by Olmsted’s PE Teacher, Mr. Larson. 

• Olmsted PTO celebrated the end of the school year with an end of the year party hosted at Lions Park after school on June 1st. They provided free treats, held games, had prizes, glitter tattoos, and more for all Olmsted Families.
