UHS Student-Sponsored Blood Drive April 5
Created on March 26th, 2024UPDATE: The UHS Blood Drive collected 46 units of whole blood and one (1) power red (2 units) during the blood drive. They increased their donations from last year by more than ten units! Way to go UHS!
The Urbandale High School Key Club is sponsoring a community blood drive with the American Red Cross. Angelica Chaisson-Cardenas, Key Club President, has been hard at work organizing the event and students from Key Club, Leo Club, National Honor Society, CORE, and the UHS Student Senate are volunteering their time to help the blood drive run smoothly. It is open to anyone in the community and there are slots still open and available for donation. Each pint of blood collected can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. This is a great way to pay it forward and make an impact on people in the Urbandale community and across the country. The UHS Vision is, “UHS will change the world.” By hosting the American Red Cross blood drive, UHS students are putting their vision into action.
To register for the Blood Drive, schedule an appointment by visiting UHS Blood Drive or call 1-800-733-2767 (1-800-Red Cross). The Blood Drive will take place at Urbandale High School from 8:30 a.m.– 2:30 p.m. on April 5, 2024. Thank you for making a difference.
