Last week, during the intersession break at Karen Acres, students had the opportunity to learn all about various paper crafts. The students explored how to make their own paper by pressing paper pulp through screens, the process behind hieroglyphics, and wax stamps. The intersession students then took the materials they worked with and wrote letters to loved ones and friends. They also wrote letters to residents at the Karen Acres Healthcare Center where they hand delivered them. They also took time to read stories to the residents. What a great way to spend some time off from school!
