Karen Acres 5th grade students have been hard at work on their first Project Based Learning (PBL) assignment this year! For this project the students were tasked with designing and presenting their plans for why a pool is needed in Urbandale! They were required to produce measured and calculated blueprints and present on a variety of topics such as uses (recreational/swim teams/etc.) and safety measures (signs/lifeguards/etc.). Members of both the UCSD staff and the community were in attendance to hear these presentations.
