On Monday, February 19, UCSD staff and educators had the opportunity to participate in various professional learning and collaboration sessions. These sessions were focused on the idea of learning from their peers in order to continue expanding their knowledge. Employees also had the opportunity to join sessions presented by Kevin Wenndt, the Senior Retirement Benefits Officer with the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS) so they can understand more about their benefits and retirement plans.

Many employees also took the chance to participate in the annual Cabin Fever Day Service Project by donating new personal care items that will replenish Nurses Offices across the district. This means that students who can take their minds off personal barriers are empowered to focus on learning. Thank you to everyone who participated in the service project and professional development!
