We’re excited to announce our Urbandale Middle School Dean of Students beginning in the 2023–24 school year. Mr. Tucker Regan has accepted the position of Dean of Students. We look forward to welcoming him to the position beginning July 1, 2023. 

Mr. Regan brings valuable experience and expertise to this role. Since 2016, he has been serving as an 8th Grade Social Studies teacher in Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS). In 2021, he also began serving as a Behavior Strategist in DMPS. Prior to that, Regan served as a 7th Grade Social Studies teacher for one year and a Professional Learning Community Leader for four years in DMPS.

Mr. Regan is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership degree from Drake University. He earned a Master of Science in Culturally Responsive Leadership and Instruction from Drake University, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Iowa State University, and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and General Studies from Des Moines Area Community College. He holds a Principal License Certification, Evaluator License Certification, and a Teaching K–8 History Certification.

“I am excited to be given the opportunity to serve Urbandale and the community,” said Regan. “I look forward to working with a collaborative community where there is a focus on growth for all. I hope to contribute to the equitable and positive learning environment by building strong relationships and lasting life skills.”
