Announcing Our New Webster Administrative Team
Created on June 16th, 2022We’re excited to introduce our new administrative leadership team at Webster Elementary. Sara Grieme has accepted the position of Dean of Students and Anna Taggart has accepted the position of Principal. Both individuals bring a high degree of educational leadership experience to their positions.
Webster Dean of Students Sara Grieme
Sara Grieme is currently a Building Learning Coordinator at Carlisle Middle School. Prior to this position, Ms. Grieme was an 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher also in Carlisle. She has been a part of the CMS team since 2003. Ms. Grieme holds a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Drake University and a Master’s degree with a focus of reading instruction from Viterbo University. She also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern College.
“I’m excited to join the UCSD team,” said Grieme. “I look forward to building relationships and collaborating with Webster students, staff, and families to ensure all students are learning and growing at high levels in a safe, supportive school community.
Webster Principal Anna Taggart
Anna Taggart is currently the Elementary Assistant Principal for Brookview Elementary and Woodland Hills Elementary in the Waukee Community School District. Prior to this position she was the District Elementary Math Coordinator for Des Moines Public Schools and a School Improvement Leader at Hoyt Middle School. Anna holds a PK-12 Urban Education Network Principalship Degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Middle Level Education from the University of Northern Iowa. Anna was recently recognized as the 2022 Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year for the State of Iowa and was inducted as a 2022 National Outstanding Assistant Principal through The National Association of Elementary School Principals.
“I am honored for the opportunity to serve as the Principal at Webster Elementary for Urbandale Schools,” said Taggart. “I look forward to building collaborative relationships with staff, students, and families in order to foster an environment of achievement and connection for all students. I will work to know every single student and staff member and love them for their unique, wonderful abilities and talents. Webster Elementary is exceptional and I look forward to continuing the mission for all students to Inquire, Inspire, and Ignite a passion for lifelong learning and personal leadership.”
