Welcome to the Urbandale High School Art Department

My name is Scott Pederson and I joined the Art Department in the fall of 2014.  I took a roundabout way to becoming a teacher as I graduated from Iowa State University with a BFA in Graphic Design and worked professionally as a graphic designer and product photographer for 4+ years before moving on and working in the sales and marketing world.  I decided to go back to school to obtain my teacher certification and license because I have always enjoyed sharing my passion for art and design with others, and enjoy teaching others how to not only create their own art, but also how to look at things differently and tap into their creativity!
