About Me
This will be my 15th year working as a reading interventionist and my 3rd year as a math interventionist for the Urbandale Community School District. I feel very honored to teach in the community where I grew up and continue to reside in to this day. I attended Olmsted as a kindergartener, then Rolling Green for the remainder of my elementary career and I am a proud Urbandale alum. I always wanted to be a teacher growing up and I’ve been working with young children since I was 14.
I graduated from Grand View University in 2010 with a BA in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Language Arts. Additionally I have an AS degree in Early Childhood and an AA degree in Liberal Arts from Des Moines Area Community College.
As an interventionist I am passionate about providing my students the knowledge and learning strategies they need to gain confidence, grow their skills, and experience success so they are better equipped to reach their learning targets.
