Welcome: Welcome to the Urbandale Middle School Computer Department Website. My name is Lindsey Bakker and I have been teaching Computer Classes at UMS since 2001.  I live in Urbandale with my wife, Durinda, who is a 5th grade teacher at Des Moines Christian.  Prior to teaching in Urbandale, I taught Computers for two years at Charles City Middle School, after graduating from UNI in 1999.

Currently 6th and 8th grade students at UMS have Computer Class for one of their related arts classes.

Washington D.C. Trip Update:  In June of 2018 I took my 17^th consecutive trip to Washington D.C. with students from U.M.S., including the final 10 years in charge of the trip.  After that trip, I turned over the leadership of the D.C. Trip to Ryan Williams, a 8^th grade Language Arts teacher at U.M.S.
