Hello! I look forward to being your child’s teacher this year! I believe all students can and want to learn! I previously held positions as a first-grade teacher, English language learner support teacher, and preschool teacher. This will be my second year teaching kindergarten.
I received my Masters in Education from Drake University in 2011 with endorsements in reading and English as a Second Language (ESL).
When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, boating, cooking, gardening, and reading. My husband Eric works at IA State. We have two children, Ada and Cabe, and a snuggly beagle named Scarlett.
On the right hand of the screen, you can find our kindergarten standards, school-wide behavior expectations, as well as some other helpful information. Please read the newsletters I send out via ParentSquare. The newsletters provide important information throughout the year.
I am a firm believer that you are an integral part of your child’s learning and growth. I welcome contact from you via school phone, email, or ParentSquare. Please note that if you call me during learning hours, I will likely need to call you back. I am excited for our year together!
