My name is Karli Crooks and I am the At Risk Teacher at Urbandale Middle School. I have been teaching at UMS since 2011, with my first 9 years teaching 7th grade math.

I work with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in the OASIS classroom. OASIS (Offering Alternative Solutions to Instill Success) is a scheduled class that meets during U-Time. Students enrolled in OASIS receive the supports included below:
– Academic support in a small group setting
– Opportunities for students to be more successful and motivated while at UMS
– Organizational support specific to classwork and materials
– Connecting students with peers to build positive relationships
