This is my 25th year teaching in the Urbandale School District. Previously, I have taught pre-school, Title 1 reading, special education, third grade, second grade for ten years, and first grade for five years. This is my fifth year back in the special education classroom! I recently completed my masters degree from Drake University in teacher effectiveness and professional development. I am so grateful to have had this opportunity and am excited to be able to apply some of the teaching strategies I have learned! I look forward to working with students in a small group setting to help them reach their goals.

     My husband, Brian, is a civil engineering draftsman. We live in Ankeny and have 3 children:  Laura (20),   Justin  (16),  and  Christopher (12). We also have two  cats, Linus and Myla, who have been great additions to our family.
