ABOUT ME
This is my tenth year at UHS and my 32nd year as a teacher overall. I am the school-to-work coordinator and also serve as the service learning teacher. I also teach an advanced health class called Wellness for Life as well as a careers class called Succeeding in the World of Work.
SERVICE LEARNING
This class focuses on students volunteering in the community. We go out to various places throughout the week and volunteer our services to that place.

CLASSE OVERVIEW
- Service Learning
- UHS—SERVICE LEARNING FT FORM
- This class leaves the high school site every day for two periods (1 during block days) and volunteers at various sites
- This year we have been volunteering at various elementary schools, retirement homes, as well as furry friends refuge downtown.
- Work Experience
- Work Experience Contract
- This class gives credit for working. You must have a job and be deficient in elective credits.
- Wellness for Life
- This is an advanced, more hands-on, health class where the students will research various health topics using a variety of methods.
- Special Section Physical Education
- The PE class is where students are able to recapture a lost PE credit. We meet each day (instead of the normal PE times) and use walking for our fitness training. We walk the hallways of the high school during cold or inclement weather. During nice days we walk outside.
