I love being the Digital Learning Teacher Librarian at Valerius Elementary,  & I’m excited to get to work with you this year!

ABOUT ME
I’m originally from Waterloo, Iowa & a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). I have a Masters degree in Education from Viterbo University & a K-8 library endorsement from UNI. My husband Adam is also a teacher, & we have two sons. As a family we like to travel & spend time outside.

EXPERIENCE
l’ve spent over 20 years in elementary education as a classroom teacher, reading teacher, & teacher librarian.

LIBRARY FAVORITES
Some of my favorite children’s authors are Yuyi Morales, Mo Willems, Jacqueline Woodson, & Kelly Yang. My favorite children’s book is “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats. I also like learning & teaching about computer science & digital literacy with students in the library.
