Wild About Reading
Created on March 5th, 2025Let’s get “Wild about Reading!”
Valerius students recently kicked off the Iowa Wild hockey team’s “Wild About Reading” program with a special assembly and visit from Crash, the team’s mascot! The reading program runs from Friday, March 7 – Sunday, March 23. Thanks to PTO for purchasing a book for every student to start the process of tracking their minutes.
Be on the lookout for a reading log card sent home in your child’s take home folder. Students may keep track of their minutes any way they want on the card, and minutes can count whether they read on their own or with someone. When your child has met the 3 goals, please have them return the log to school by Tuesday, March 25. Your child will then be given a ticket voucher that can be used to purchase a free Iowa Wild hockey game ticket! Thanks for supporting your child’s reading at home!
