Urbandale is dedicated to providing high-quality literacy instruction for all students, and we are currently evaluating instructional materials for K-5 Literacy, including phonics, comprehension, writing, and speaking/listening skills. Select teachers across our elementary schools are field testing two high-quality programs: Expeditionary Learning (EL Education) and Amplify CKLA. These materials are being tested for usability and effectiveness with students.

As part of this process, we want to invite parents and guardians to play an active role in the evaluation.
