Created on October 20th, 2024As we approach the end of the first trimester, it’s time to start thinking about Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences. These conferences are a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress so far this school year and to collaborate on their continued growth.
Conferences will be held on November 19 and November 21, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Each conference is scheduled for 15 minutes. This year, we are offering both in-person and virtual options to accommodate your preference. Your student’s teachers will be sending you a parentsquare message with times you can sign up to meet with them in person or virtually starting on November 4th (Monday).
Fall Progress Reports will be sent via email on November 18.

Staff Meals During Conferences
The Valerius PTO provides dinner for our teachers and staff during conferences. You can show your appreciation by contributing food items or monetary contributions. On November 19 we will provide walking tacos. We have most of the supplies needed for this night, we only need drinks. On November 21 we will provide Palmer’s boxed meals. We are in need of monetary contributions. A $15 donation will feed one person dinner. Donations of any amount are appreciated and can be made any time at https://valeriuspto.square.site/. If you are planning to make a drink or monetary donation, please use the sign up to indicate what you plan to donate that was sent through ParentSquare on 11/10 with the Valerius Weekly.
Scholastic Book Fair
The Book Fair is coming!
Book Fairs benefit the Valerius library and classrooms with 50% of profits going directly to the school.
There’s so much to do and multiple opportunities to shop! At the fair you will find book recommendations from your child’s teacher and have the option to donate books directly to their classroom with the TEACHER WISH LISTS found near the checkout.
- Breakfast and Books: Saturday, November 16th 8 – 10 am
Join us to kick off the fair! Bring family and friends for early shopping, coffee, fruit, and donuts.
- Conference Shopping: Tuesday, November 19th and Thursday, November 21st 4:00 – 8:00 pm
Family and friends shop during conferences until 8 pm
- Recess Shopping: Tuesday, November 19th and Thursday, November 21st
Kids can shop during lunch recess using *E-Wallet or cash
*E-Wallet allows family and friends to load funds through an online account accessible at school. Review this option through our book fair homepage.

Volunteers are needed to run a successful fair.
