Welcome to 1st grade!

I am Aaron Nikkel and I am beginning my 15th year of teaching in the Urbandale Community School District.  I attended Dordt University where I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood and Reading.  In May of 2016, I graduated with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Effective Teaching from Buena Vista University.  

I  look forward to working with you and your child to create a positive learning experience for them.  I hope your child will be challenged and encouraged to try new things this year.  Be sure to use the websites that are loctaed on this page.  These websites are good resources to use at home with your child.   Also, feel free to e-mail or call my room with any questions or concerns.  I am excited for a year full of learning!
