Greetings!  I am fortunate enough and proud to be the principal of Valerius Elementary for the 24-25 school year!  This is my 12th year as an elementary principal,  24th year in Urbandale, and 29th year in education.   I received my education at UNI (B.A.) and Drake (M.A. and Specialist).  My time prior to being an administrator includes teaching sixth grade,  middle school math and science and serving as a middle school counselor.

In UCSD, we strive to have schools that build relationships with students, families and the community to develop happy, healthy, lifelong learners.  It is our mission to provide a safe and supportive learning environment to ensure that ALL of our students achieve at high levels.
